Oh hell no with this rain. We need to light it up.
For one dollar, you can get a three-hour DJ Harvey mix recorded at Rumors in LA. If you don’t know Harvey, this is a great introduction. Disco, elevation, joy, tenderness. Whomst among us?
And then, for no money, you can listen to the NTS archive of a Manchester DJ named Sameed. He’s done twenty-five installments of a hip-hop sample show, each episode organized around the artist using the samples. You know Jay-Z (and DJ Mark the 45 King) flipped Broadway, but do you remember who Outkast sampled?
Have a great weekend. At home.
